Esta diversidad se manifiesta en la multiculturalidad que se da en las regiones como: la regi\u00f3n Andina, la Costa Caribe, la Orinoqu\u00eda, la Amazon\u00eda, la regi\u00f3n Insular y la Pac\u00edfica. Asimismo, es importante destacar la propia riqueza y diversidad cultural dentro de las regiones mencionadas anteriormente.<br>En este contexto, la educaci\u00f3n intercultural adquiere un papel fundamental, ya que no solo implica el reconocer la existencia de identidades culturales, tradiciones y valores diferentes, sino, el c\u00f3mo estas se interconectan entre s\u00ed, en las interacciones diarias entre el individuo, generando un proceso natural de transformaci\u00f3n y de enriquecimiento cultural. Por todo ello, se hace necesario desarrollar una educaci\u00f3n intercultural que forme ciudadanos con valores, tolerantes, solidarios, colaboradores, justos, responsables, capaces de empatizar y comprender la situaci\u00f3n de los dem\u00e1s.
