La definici\u00f3n del maltrato infantil ha evolucionado desde la conceptualizaci\u00f3n inicial del \u201cS\u00edndrome del Ni\u00f1o Golpeado\u201d, centrada en el da\u00f1o f\u00edsico no accidental, hasta abarcar la negligencia y los aspectos psicol\u00f3gicos y emocionales; esta evoluci\u00f3n refleja una comprensi\u00f3n m\u00e1s profunda de las m\u00faltiples formas en que se puede da\u00f1ar a un ni\u00f1o.
